Dorset Vintage Camera Hire specializes in the hire of medium format ( 120) film cameras. The range of cameras for hire is wide, from Twin Lens Reflex ( TLR) cameras from the 1950’s, to “ folder” cameras from the 1930’s, Single Lens Reflex Cameras ( SLRs) in a range of image formats.

Shooting medium format film opens up amazing potential in film photography, and provides a different user experience than using digital cameras.

Dorset Vintage Camera Hire was created to enable easy accessibility into this amazing photographic medium to any one from a range of back grounds or user requirements; from those just wanting to try it out on a budget, to those wanting to hire specific cameras for specific needs.

We have a wide range of well known names, including Rollieflex, Rolliecord, Pentax, Mamiya, Yashica, Zeiss ikonta, voightlander and more.

In setting up this venture, ive been amazed at the positivity and support in the anologue film comunity. This is something i’m very keen to raise awareness on and to activly promote.

I trained in 35mm film in the late 90’s, then when i worked offshore i got heavily into digital film photography.

However, I’ve always wanted to try the classic 6 x 6 and around 18 months ago, I switched from digital to analogue medium format.

Ive not looked back since then….
